Syllable Three: Who [Owl sound](pronounced with the lips rounded and the tongue suspended in mid-mouth,
as though blowing out a candle) Element: Earth Season: Late Summer Organ: Spleen and pancreas/Stomach Method: · Stand in horse stance and bring your hands up in front of lower Dan Tien with palms facing upwards and fingers aligned. · Begin inhaling through the nose as you bring the hands up the midline until your hands reach tan-jung point midway between the nipples and the breath is full. · At this point begin exhaling through the mouth making the syllable "hoo" as you turn your right hand palm out and around 360 degrees to face the sky and turn your left palm in and around 180 degrees to face the ground. · Press your right hand upwards while pressing the left hand downward. · When the breath is empty reverse your palms and begin inhalation while moving the hands towards tan-jung. · As the hands pass each other begin the second exhalation until the left hand is high and the right hand is low. · Reverse and repeat six times. · On last inhalation bring the hands together in front of tan-lung, turn both palms upward and exhale as you relax the hands back to the starting position. Benefits: Improves digestive function of the spleen, pancreas, and stomach. This benefits any sort of digestive problem and helps eliminate halitosis caused by indigestion in the stomach. |
