Syllable Two: Heu [Dragon comes out of the Sea] ( pronounced as "her" but without the final "r" with
mouth open, tip of tongue pressed against the lower teeth, and syllable aspirating in the top of the
throat on exhalation) Element: Fire Season: Summer Organ: Heart/Small Intestine Method: · Stand in Horse stance with palms facing each other in front of your thighs. · As you begin to inhale lift your hands up and out turning the palms to towards your back and extend your little fingers outward as far as possible in order to activate the heart meridian. · When your breath is full and the hands reach shoulder level, begin exhaling through the mouth with the vibration sound of "her" without the "r" resonating in the top of your throat. Slowly lower your hands back down to your side with the little finger relaxed. Visualize hot fire energy streaming up and out of the heart. · When the breath is empty and hands are back down in front of the thighs, pause and relax, then begin the next cycle. · Repeat six times. Benefits: Calms and expels excess fire energy in the heart and clears the heart meridian. This practice is very effective during hot summer weather to eliminate symptoms of excess heart fire, such as insomnia, palpitations, profuse sweating, and hypertension. |
